    Authentic and Amazing!

What a hidden gem!!! I have enjoyed dinner here twice during the last month.

During my first visit I had the spaghetti carbonara  (bacon, egg and cheese pasta). The food was bowl licking good. It was such a generous and rich portion that I am glad I split with a friend.

Last night, I had the pesto lasagna and my husband enjoyed the seafood risotto. The lasagna was very delicate, creamy, cheesey, gooey, hot and rich. It is in the top ten of best dishes ever. The seafood risotto was very good with a very generous amount of seafood and an overall large serving. I had the leftovers for lunch today!

It is obvious that food is first at the restaurant, we were offered three different pepper choices for our pastas (pink, a mix of pink, green and black, or black). There were also multiple choices of finishing cheeses.

Additionally, the bread, olive oil and complimentary pre-dinner snacks are a nice touch. The olive oil is very deep and reminds me of a summer spent in Italy.

The prices (pasta between $12 and $20) are fair for the location, portion size and high quality of food. Also, if you have ever made pasta by hand, lasagna and/or risotto, you know they are very time consuming dishes.

The service is attentive, but slow. Overall, very enjoyable experience with AMAZING food.

FYI , Waiting time is horrible.. they definitely need more help.. food is ok, and maybe due to the fact that is the only place around

At first glance, L' Arte del Buongusto Caffe may seem to be a gem of restaurants on Miracle Mile, but after having lunch at this place today, I would like to say that the service is extremely slow-- and for being the only two people at the restaurant today, I am very surprised that they took a long time to cook pasta with salmon. Note that salmon is extremely easy to cook. The friend I was with today ordered lasagna, and they failed to tell us that their baker (oven) was broken, so she left without having a meal. In my opinion, they should have told us their machine was broken way in advance so that she could avoid any inconveniences and order something else.

We also ordered foccacia, but it was cold and did not taste like it was fresh out of the oven. Very disappointing!

The only thing they had going for them today is that their decor is very trendy and makes you feel like you are in upscale Italian restaurant!

I probably will not come here again.

On Monday we stop in this little caffe on Miracle Way for lunch. This place is small but very nice décor and has outdoor seating.  The place was almost empty (2 table inside and 1 outside were taken).  We got the menu and the water quick. It took us several minutes to decide what we want to eat.
We placed our order and ..................................... After 23 minutes we got warm delicious baguette and butter. After another 20 minutes we got our appetizers and the chef came out to us to ask if everything is Ok.  For the main course we waited another twenty few minutes after eating appetizers.  Just after the main dishes were served the chef came out to ask if everything is OK again. The food was very tasty, delicious and beautifully served. The service was very polite and nice. Unfortunately, the waiting time for food was not acceptable. This place was not busy at all. What was the reason for such a long wait for food?  If you're in a time crunch, hungry and you're ordering food that needs to be prepared, this may not be the place for you (but find a time you can come here and relax - I promise you won't be disappointed.) We'll come back too. Parking is on street with meters.

Skip this place! The food is inconsistent. The service is poor. They would not honor their own gift certificate.

They said that although the certificate allowed us to use it during lunch on a  Tuesday. They get far too busy to accept it. However, we were the only people in there from the entire time.

The menu is small so we ordered two identical salmon salads. They arrived with one looking much better than the other. One salmon was average looking with the other being pieced back together. It was embarrassing deciding who would get the good one.

We had to leave our table to get our check because the waiter was busy talking to another employee.

Coral Gables has so many choices. Choose another restaurant.
